Gonda: Gonda Police teams from all police stations have launched village-level awareness programmes under Mission Shakti Phase 6.0 to educate women and girls about safety, dignity, self-reliance and their legal rights.
During the outreach drives, Mission Shakti teams interacted with women and girls and shared information on personal safety, cyber security and opportunities for empowerment. They cautioned participants against sharing bank details, OTPs, ATM or debit card information and other confidential data with strangers.

The teams also advised them not to click on suspicious links, fall for fraudulent calls or messages, or engage carelessly with unknown people on social media. Women and girls were encouraged to protect their personal information and photographs online and report cyber fraud or online harassment promptly.
The police urged them not to remain silent in cases of harassment, stalking, inappropriate behaviour, domestic violence or any other form of abuse, but to seek immediate assistance. The sessions also highlighted the importance of education, skill development, employment opportunities and financial independence.

Participants were informed about key helplines, including Women Power Line 1090, Women’s Helpline 181, Police Emergency Service 112, Child Helpline 1098 and Cyber Crime Helpline 1930.
Gonda Police said awareness activities under Mission Shakti Phase 6.0 would continue to promote confidence, improve awareness of cybercrime and help create a safer environment for women and girls. The police also appealed to the public to support efforts to protect their safety, dignity and independence.
